The invention relates to a roller conveyor for prepositioning stacked flat articles, intended particularly for insertion in a conveying line upstream of the packaging machine. The conveyor 7 straightens the stack and the position of the articles constituting the pile. It comprises a series of motorised rollers 9 as well as a lateral edge portion 10. A series of rollers 9 with progressive inclination makes it possible to create a progressive lateral movement of the pile of objects in order to apply it delicately against the edge portion 10 during its translational movement.
