Apparatus for automatic metering of tinters for the preparation of paints, comprising: a) a series of receptacles 1 of base tinters, each being provided with means of stirring and of abstraction in calibrated doses, b) a dispensing device 2 for the abstractions of base tinters into a mixing receptacle, c) circuits for forward F and return R transfer between the said receptacles 1 for tinters and the dispensing device 2, characterised in that the said dispensing device 2 consists: - of a modular body 20 comprising flow passages 21 for the base tinters, in which there is housed at least one two- or three-way rotary stopcock 4, driven by a driving motor and comprising a conformation of channels 41 communicating with the said flow passages 21 in the said body, - and of a base 6 in which the entry orifices correspond to the exit orifices of the channels 41 of the said stopcock and the exit orifices 61 are assembled in the lid of the mixing receptacle and have a drop-cutter profile. <IMAGE>
