The hair-drying air hood structure, in which firstly a stable hood shape is produced by means of a motor, which is suspended from the person, with a fan and heating element - based on interconnected struts filled with air, is supplemented by a switch by means of which it is possible to introduce the air or hot-air flow manually and infinitely variably into different zones of the hair-drying hood and to regulate them independently of one another. Depending on the length, thickness and structure of the hair, the drying operation can thus be selected accordingly in the individual zones such that consideration can be given to the individual requirements placed on the drying operation by the individual person. For example, parts of the hair which are already dry can be prevented from having to be treated further and thus overdried - which is unfavourable in terms of care - because the drying of other parts of the hair has not yet been completed. Alternatively, simultaneous completion of the drying operation can be achieved in that, from the outset, different intensities of the air flows in the individual zones can be set. Using an air vane switch, partly in conjunction with a thermostat, automatically ensures even supply of air or hot air - regardless of the intensity of the air flow selected in any individual zone.
