Reactive, non-yellowing triazine compounds useful as UV screening agents for polymers

Triazine compounds are disclosed which are useful for imparting UV screening properties to polymers of the formula: <IMAGE> wherein R is an electron withdrawing group; R1 is H, <IMAGE> where R3 is an alkyl group having from one to about six carbon atoms; and R2 is selected from H and CH3, also disclosed are polymer compositions having improved UV screening properties containing said triazine compounds.
