<p>PURPOSE:To improve controllability by constituting the torque of an auxiliary steering motor in such a way as to be controlled based on each output from a torque sensor detecting steering force and an acceleration sensor detecting the rotation speed of a steering wheel. CONSTITUTION:When a steering wheel 14 is operated in steering, steering force is detected by a torque sensor 12 so as to allow a target torque computing circuit 27 to compute a target steering torque value 27a based on the output from the aforesaid detected value. Then, the difference between the aforesaid target steering torque 27a and a torque value 12a sensed by a driver is obtained by a comparison circuit 28 so as to determine a voltage command value 28a to be applied based on the aforesaid difference in torque. Simultaneously, the rotational acceleration of the steering wheel 14 is detected by an acceleration sensor 16, based on the output 16a from it the voltage command 28a is corrected by a voltage correction circuit 29. An auxiliary motor 11 is actuated based on the aforesaid corrected voltage command value 29a via a drive amplifier 25 for producing auxiliary steering force.</p> |
