PURPOSE:To remove the wrapping paper of a bundle of paper easily by a method wherein wrapping is automatically opened by cutting the periphery of the bundle so that the upper and lower parts of wrapping paper is completely separated. CONSTITUTION:A bundle of paper (a) on pallets P is mounted on a turn table 1 and a corner E of wrapping (b) is cut off by a hand cutter. The turn table 1 is raised or lowered by a hydraulic cylinder 5 until a bundle sensor detects the bundle (a), and a motor 14 rotates an oscillating arm 13 so as to press a cutter blade 12 against the side of the bundle (a), and drives stepping motor 8 simultaneously. This causes rolling wheels 17, 17 at the end of the arm 13 to roll on the side (b) of the bundle (a). The wrapping (b) has an opening (b)' open to outside, and the tip of a rake 18 is inserted between the wrapping (b) and the bundle (a) to cut the wrapping (b) on its whole periphery by the cutter 12 when the turn table 1 rotates by one turn. |
