PURPOSE:To increase the strength of a pressure rod, to compact a diff case, and to reduce the number of parts, by a method wherein a pressure rod is extended through between a pinion shaft and the rotation direction of a diff case. CONSTITUTION:A pressure rod 50 is disposed in a position deviated by 45 deg. in the rotation direction of a pinion shaft, and a part, in a radial direction, of the pressure rod is extended between pinion gears 29. Thus, provided a maximum diameter from the center of an axle 33 is set to the same value as that of a conventional type, the size of the pressure rod can be increased by an amount equivalent to that. A differential limit force can be prevented from a fluctuation due to bending and plastic deformation of the pressure rod 50. Since the size of the pressure rod 50 is sufficient, the number of the pressure rods can be reduced, and the number of parts can be decreased. The mounting position of the pressure rod 50 can be moved to a position in the vicinity of the outer periphery of a side gear, and through reduction of the outer size of the diff case by an amount equivalent to it, a device can be compacted.
