PURPOSE:To increase the magnetic field intensity of an inclined magnetic field, by arranging an inclined magnetic field coil, wherein coil elements are mutually separated electrically, in a space where a static magnetic field is generated. CONSTITUTION:The inclined magnetic field coils 13 of an MRI apparatus are constituted so as to be driven at every X-, Y- and Z-channels by a plurality of inclined magnetic field amplifiers. The inclined magnetic field coil 13 of the X-channel is divided into four coils 13a-13d in parallel and exclusive inclined magnetic field amplifiers 16a-16d are provided to the respective coil elements and amplify the power output from a sequence controller 17 to apply the same to the corresponding coil elements 13a-13d. Hereupon, closed circuits containing the exclusive inclined magnetic field amplifiers 16a-16d are formed at every four coil elements 13a-13d through the common sequence controller 17 and the inclined magnetic field coil 13 becomes such a structure that four coil elements 13a-13d are mutually separated electrically. Therefore, the magnetic field intensity of an inclined magnetic field can be increased without increasing the output voltage of each inclined magnetic field amplifier. |
