A mounting rack is described for accommodating vertically arranged printed circuit boards which are fitted with electronic components. Said mounting rack is provided with forced ventilation which comprises vertically arranged fans, which are arranged in a rear wall of the mounting rack. The fans blow cooling air into a relatively large-volume pressurised area, which is connected to a distribution area underneath the printed circuit boards. The overpressure which builds up in the pressurised area and in the distributor is dissipated uniformly via the intermediate areas between the printed circuit boards, so that a surprisingly uniform air through-flow is produced between the printed circuit boards.
