An apparatus for blocking a steel plate edge in a strip coating process is provided to prevent dent or a line mark from being formed in the surface of a steel plate due to resin impurities when a plated steel is coated with resin. An apparatus for blocking a steel plate edge in a strip coating process comprises an actuator(10) and a coating solution removing device(30). The actuator is disposed lengthwise along a roll while being adjacent to the steel plate coating roll(118). The coating solution removing device is installed at the actuator to prevent an edge of a steel plate from being coated while being in contact with a part of the steel plate coating roll. The actuator is prepared in the form of a hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder. The actuator is fixed to the lower portion of a movable block(14) coupled with a ball screw(12).
