PURPOSE:To store the transient current into a permanent current retention circuit by changing a permanent current switch from OFF to ON at such a timing that the current flowing through a transformer reaches the maximum or above threshold level. CONSTITUTION:The current to be inputted from a conductor 1 is converted into secondary current by a transformer 2, and is supplied to a permanent current retention circuit constituted of a superconductor coil 4 and a permanent current switch 3. Secondary current of the transformer 2 is detected by an ammeter 5, and the permanent current switch 3 is turned ON and the permanent current retention circuit is operated at such a timing that secondary current reaches above the threshold level prescribed in advance or the maximum. According to this method, the transient current can be retained, and the energy produced transiently by lightning and others can be stored. |
