PURPOSE:To prevent completely the leakage of a culture solution and obtain a marketable sterilizing biological indicator, by a method wherein a filter paper is disposed below a capsule, a cap body consists of a flange and a tapered insertion part provided with a hydrophobic filter to seal a throughhole, and the cap body is fitted in the upper opening of a tubular container water-tightly. CONSTITUTION:A support 5 is formed to mount a filter paper 4 at the bottom of a container 1, and a glass ampule 6 containing a culture solution and prefer ably a pH indicator is housed in the container. A cap body 2 consists of flange 7 and a tapered insertion part 8 provided with a throughhole 9 at the axial center and a hydrophobic filter 10 to seal the throughhole 9. The hydrophobic filter 10 admits high-pressure vapor or ethylenoxide gas but not germs. After the filter paper 4 and ampule 6 are placed in the container 1 and the cap body 2 is fitted in the cap fitting portion 3, high-frequency welding is performed from the outside of be cap fitting portion 3 to complete a sealed sterilizing biological indicator with the container 1 and the cap body 2 fixed together. |
