PURPOSE:To reduce defects in a picture such as black spots, etc. by providing a part constituted of hindered amine structural units and/or hindered phenol structural units in molecules to a layer constituting a photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:A carrier generating layer 2 is formed on an electroconductive base body 1 and a carrier transfer layer 4 is formed thereon and a photosensitive layer 5 is constituted of the carrier generating layer 2 and the carrier transfer layer 4. A carrier generating material 10 and a carrier transfer material are incorporated in the carrier generating layer 2 and a compd. having a hindered amine structural unit and/or a hindered phenol structural unit in the molecule is (are) contained in the layer 5 constituting the photosensitive body. By this constitution, a function of barrier against local injection of carrier is imparted to the carrier generating layer itself and generation of defects of picture such as black dots, etc., is reduced. |
