PURPOSE:To vertically move a transfer platen only and consequently realize smooth high speed mold opening and closing in spite of large lifting stroke by a method wherein the transfer platen is provided vertically movably and intermittently rotatably to respective molds by connecting the rotating shaft of the transfer platen through the piston of a lifting cylinder to the driving shaft of the driving device for intermittent rotation. CONSTITUTION:A hydraulically operated lifting cylinder 5 is disposed in upright at the central part of a support 3. A driving device 6 for intermittent rotation, which consists of a hydraulic rocking motor having the rotational angle of 90 deg., is connected to the top of the lifting cylinder. The driving shaft 7 of the driving device 6 is inserted in the piston 8 of the lifting cylinder 5 and connected to the piston 8 through splines 9. The central part of the platen body of a transfer platen 10 is connected to the lower end of the piston 8. As a result, the transfer platen 10 is moved vertically by the lifting cylinder 5 and intermittently rotated at every 90 deg. by the driving device 7. A working space is formed between the transfer platen 10 and a machine bed 1. An operating section for injection molding, an operating section for temperature control, an operating section for stretching and blow molding and an operating section for unloading molded item are arranged respectively in four directions of the working space. |
