<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the no-image zone in an image forming medium by making the outer peripheral length of a rotary-body conveying means which together with a belt conveying means forms a conveying passage, sufficiently smaller than the length in the conveying direction of the image forming medium. CONSTITUTION:Sheets of paper P in a paper feeding cassette 3 are made pass one sheet at a time through between the platen roller 17 and ink film 12 of a rotary conveying means 6 via a pair of register rollers 23 by means of a paper feed roller 21 and, as it arrives at the outer peripheral part of the belt wheel 19A of a belt conveying means 7, the roller 17 is stopped and the sheet of paper P is closely attached to a conveying belt 20 at a gripper part 29A. In this case, since the outer peripheral length of the roller 17 is sufficiently small while the gripper part 29A being also in close vicinity to it, the distance to a thermal head 11, i.e., a no-image zone is reduced. Then, the belt wheel 19A is rotated in the alpha direction while drivenly rotating the roller 17 to form image on the sheet of paper P using the ink film 12 by means of the head 11. Thereby, the no-image zone of a sheet of paper can be reduced.</p> |
