The invention relates to a dowel for fastening to planar components which are produced with a support core-type structure and which have a first and a second cover panel and at least one intermediate support core layer, wherein the dowel comprises at least one expansion body (which accommodates at least one fastening means) and at least one wedge body guided in the expansion body. The expansion body has a seat portion, a rear-engagement portion with elastically expanded rear-engagement elements, and an expansion body with expandable clamping elements. The wedge body is seated in a longitudinally displaceable manner in a cutout in the expansion body that tapers in the direction in which the dowel is placed. With the dowel placed, the cylinder region bears, at least in certain regions, in the bore of the first cover panel, the rear-engagement elements are supported behind and expanded out against the first cover panel, and the clamping elements bear in a radially clamped manner in the cutout in the second cover panel. The dowel developed with the present invention is one which, apart from being simple to mount, holds firmly, securely and permanently in the lightweight building panel. |
