<p>Hemicapillar plate dialyser comprises a module formed of a blood plate, a dialyser plate and a semipermeable membrane between the two plates. The plates are clamped tightly together. Blood is supplied to and removed from the blood plate while a dialysing soln. is supported to and removed from the dialyser plate. Successive plates form channels narrowing towards their ends for a uniform supply and removal of fluids to and from the whole surface of the plates. The dialyser plate has linear interrupted extension while the blood plate has linear uninterrupted rounded extensions. The plates are made of plastics having different hardnesses so that under clamping pressure the confronting circumferential faces adjust to seal the plates. The module is clamped by spaced bands made of plastic reinforced by strands. Appts. is used in the dialysis of blood. No static zones are formed.</p> |
