Doser using electromagnetic pump and level monitors - for dosing molten metal into injector barrel of pressure die casting machine

Doser for molten metal held in a basin, furnace or crucible contg. an electromagnetic pump. The pump has an outlet with a branch (a) leading to an injector barrel or a distribution chamber, and a vertical, detachable branch (b). Branch (b) contains a molten metal detector at the high of the filling level in the barrel or chamber, and the detector actuates a switch cutting off a progressive voltage generator driving the pump. Branch (b) pref. contains a second detector at the height of the inlet of the barrel or chamber; and branch (b) pref. has a top overflow forming a safety device carrying metal back to the basin. Branch (b) is pref. made of refractory contg. a heating element. Used in the presure die casting of metals, to ensure reliable dosing.
