PURPOSE:To automatically and surely perform washing by conveying a storage battery electrode plate to the washing position with a transfer conveyor, fixing the electrode plate with a positioning mechanism, and washing the excess active materiel by the motion of a washing brush lowered to the washing position. CONSTITUTION:A storage battery electrode plate A is conveyed by a roller conveyor 2 to the position where it hits the stopper 4 of a positioning mechanism 3, claw sections 7 and 9 are operated by a signal from a sensor to fix the electrode plate. An electrode plate cover plate 11 covers the washing unrequired position of the storage battery electrode plate A by the drive of a cylinder 10, a washing brush 13 is lowered on the front guard frame of the storage battery electrode plate A by a washing brush driving cylinder 12, and the washing brush 18 is reciprocated along a rail 16 by the crank mechanism of a washing brush swaying motor 15 while it is rotated. Simultaneously water is sprayed through nozzles arranged on the electrode plate cover plate 11, and the front guard frame is washed. The storage battery electrode plate A is thereby automatically washed in sequence and delivered to the next process. |
