PURPOSE:To shorten the cultivation period and increase the yield of mushroom, by adding zeolite and oleaginous cereals to a culture base. CONSTITUTION:Oleaginous cereals such as rice bran, wheat bran or corn bran and a zeolite classified to collect a fraction having a particle diameter of preferably about 0.1-5mm are added to a culture medium composed mainly of sawdust. The cultivation period of Pleurotus ostreatus (usually 45-50 days) can be shortened to about 35 days. |
