PURPOSE:To set the device in the caption to have a smaller size, to be free from any abrasion and exothermic phenomenon and to have high accuracy and good maintenance by employing an electromagnetic coupling and employing an high temperature superconductive material as the magnet thereof. CONSTITUTION:A driving side coupling 3a and a driven side coupling 3b are fitted to a drive shaft 1 and a driven shaft 3b respectively. An electromagnetic coupling is formed by mounting superconductive magnets 4a, 4b on respective couplings. This electromagnetic coupling is free from any difference in fatigue strength and one time strength in comparison with a shear pin system, and thereby miniaturization of the whole drive system is possible. A good setting accuracy for an overload limit value can be obtained since there is no dispersion of material strength in breaking down of shear pin or no dispersion of friction factor of a slide clutch in a slide clutch system. Further, there is no generation of friction on a torque transmission surface, and there is no problem on the abrasion and the exothermic phenomenon. |
