PURPOSE:To enable automatic and correct assembly work of a piston by constituting the title device with a jig sleeve, pressing mechanism, and a guide mechanism. CONSTITUTION:The skirt part of a piston 16 transported to a working station is held by a holding device 140, and transported to a positioning part, where the piston 16 is positioned, and then transported to an expender installation part. The piston 16 is loaded into a receiving part 120 formed on the jig sleeve 108 of a piston ring assembling device 36a, and the arrangement of the piston 16 is confirmed by a sensor 94. Then, a pushing-out mechanism 45 is operated, and a male screw member 46 turns, and attaches a pressing member 66 onto a stay 60, and an expander 122 engaged with the sleeve 108 is pressed by the pressing member 66. Therefore, the expander 122 is spread through a taper part 112, and the mutual close adhesion state is released. The useless deformation and tilted state of the expander 122 are corrected by a guide mechanism 126, and the expander 122 is assembled into the peripheral groove of the piston 16. |
