The invention concerns a reciprocating forcing pump for pumping pasty materials, especially with abrasive additives, that consists of a pump conveying section with alternating non-return valves and an adjacent pump piston and cylinder, as well as a drive piston and cylinder located on the same axis, with an interacting pump control system. In this case, the drive piston (20), which can be driven pneumatically and is located on a shaft with the pump piston (34), is constructed such that it can slide in the drive cylinder (17) on a tie rod (16) which is provided with an end stop (73) and is connected to a control slide (1) which is located on the same axis and on which a piston stop (66) is arranged on the pump control side and a cam body (67) is arranged at the head end of the pump in a control housing (42). Located between the piston stop (66) and the cam body (67) on the control slide (1) is a control element (8) which is constructed such that it can slide and can be moved by means of contact thrust bolts (52), which can be spring operated and act on the cam body (67), by a lower driver (10), which is mounted on the control slide (1) into the upper position and by an upper driver (68) into the lower control position.
