SUGAR CHAIN-MODIFIED GLYCOPROTEIN

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide the titled protein having high stability in blood and long- acting drug action to enable the reduction of dose, useful as a drug, etc., and compose of sugar chains wherein sugar chains containing more than specific number of galactose and N-acetylglucosamine account for a specific ratio in the whole sugar chain. CONSTITUTION:The objective protein contains >=20% (based on the number of the whole sugar chains) of sugar chains wherein the number of galactose and/or N-acetylglucosamine is >=25% based on the total number of monosaccharides constituting single sugar chain. The protein can be produced e.g. by bonding a monosaccharide or an oligosaccharide to a non-reducing terminal of a sugar chain of known glycoprotein under reducing condition.
