METHOD FOR PROMOTING GERMINATION OF PLANT SEED AND CUTTING CULTURE

PURPOSE: To promote plant growth by applying illumination from light emitting diodes(LEDs) as light sources to plant seeds and cuttings in the germination of the plant seeds and the culture of the plant cuttings, thereby making it possible to take the smaller spacings between the objects to the illuminated and the light sources with low energy consumption. CONSTITUTION: This method for promoting the germination of the plant seeds and the culture of the plant cuttings by the artificial illumination from the light sources uses the LEDs as the light sources. The intermittent supply of the light sources at a high frequency is possible. The growth of the plants may be promoted even with, for example, completely darkened and closed housing equipment by this method.
