PURPOSE:To exhibit hermetic function surely over a long period, by sealing the container body and the cap member through welding the weld rib of the cap member on the top of the container body flange, and by bending the cap member concentrically centering on its center to make the cross section undulated. CONSTITUTION:The container body 4 and a cap member 5 are welded by ultrasonic waves with liquid stored in the body 4. The top of the member 5 is provided with the contact surface 12 of an ultrasonic horn 1; ultrasonic oscillation is transmitted to the member 5 via the surface 12 and to the horizontal part 6 of the body 4 via projections 11a, 11b that are weld ribs. The inner rib 11a prevents the liquid of the container body 4 from splashing upon ultrasonic oscillation and blocking welding, while the outer projection 11b is melted and welded to the body 4. Since the cap member 5 is undulated by concentric bending centering on its center, it can move to the container body 4 with the center moving maximumly and absorbs the variation of inner pressure. Even when inner measure varies with changes in temperature, the damage of a weld can surely be prevented. |
