PURPOSE: To form an optical recording element superior in the stability in reading by dissolving and dispersing a dye which cannot be isomerized due to light, in a binder which is a thermally cured organic material composed of non-metal elements. CONSTITUTION: A dye which cannot be isomerized due to light, is dissolved or dispersed in a binder which is an thermally cured organic material composed of non-metal elements, to form an optical recording element having the cross- linked three-dimensional network structure having at least one kind of specific structural units. As the specific structural units, e.g. those represented by a formula I and a formula II (Q is O, S, NR<3> (R<3> is H, substituted C4 or lower alkyl gp or substituted C8 or lower aryl gp, X is OH, SH or NR<3> , and Y is O, S or NR<3> ) can be used. |
