PURPOSE:To achieve smooth feeding of an image receiving medium in recording, by forming an image receiving layer on one side of a support while forming a lubricating layer containing the principal component composed of a polyester resin having a specified glass transition point and inorganic and organic particles on the other side of be support. CONSTITUTION:A coating solution is prepared by dissolving a resin mainly comprising a thermoplastic resin in a suitable solvent and adding thereto a porting agent, inorganic and organic particles and, if necessary, various additives. The obtained solution is applied onto the surface of a support and dried to form an image receiving layer. Another coating solution is prepared by dissolving a polyester resin having a glass transition point of 50-80 deg.C in a suitable solvent and adding thereto inorganic and organic particles and, if necessary, various additives. The obtained solution is applied onto another surface of the above support and dried to form a lubricating layer, thereby giving an image receiving medium for thermal transfer recording. |
