MANUFACTURE OF FLANGED PIPE

PURPOSE:To prepare easily a flanged pipe which has a sufficient airtightness between a pipe body and a flange part by bonding the pipe body and the flange part with a hot-melt adhesive. CONSTITUTION:A curved pipe body 23 is blow molded, then a hot-melt adhesive layer 24 is continuously formed in the peripheral direction of the base edge of the curved pipe body 23. The base edge of the curved pipe body 23 is set in the cavity 39 of a mold 36 for forming the flange. A resin having a higher melt temperature than that of a hot-melt adhesive is poured in the cavity 39 to form a flange part 31. The present process enable the manufacture of a flanged pipe with a good airtightness.
