PATTERN INPUT/CORRECTION DEVICE

PURPOSE:To replace a handwriting correction job with a simple tracing job by supplying a key point string of a pattern and moving these points so that the corrected patterns of free curve parts formed by the key point string are displayed on each other. CONSTITUTION:A pattern original and a dimension gauge are scanned by a scan input device 1 and inputted to a graphic information memory 2. Then input data is displayed on a graphic display 3. A scanned pattern and a trace input correction pattern are displayed with magnification in case of the trace input. Then a coordinate point is inputted from a tablet 4 while the input pattern and an input point are graphically confirmed. A correcting arithmetic processor 5 applies function curve approximation correction to the input point string. Then the scan input pattern is put on the trace input correction pattern for display. In case of the correction of the trace input data, both the scan pattern and the trace input correction pattern are displayed with magnification. Then a corrected point string is designated together with the shift of an optional point and the display of a corrected curve. Thus the function curve approximation correction is carried out in the same way.
