<p>PURPOSE:To connect a telephone set to a satellite communication system by converting a voice signal from the telephone set into a digital data, sending it to a station, processing call control information relating to the voice signal and the data from a terminal into a packet respectively and sending it to the station. CONSTITUTION:Call control information from a telephone set 4 is fed to a call control information detection circuit 23 via a telephone interface 25 and it is detected in the circuit 23, and packet processing is applied by a packet encoder/decoder 21. The data inputted from terminals 31-3n is processed into a packet by the packet encoder/decoder 21. The data and call control information subject to packet processing are multiplexed and sent to a slave station 1 together with a voice signal from the telephone set 4 converted into an ADPCM data by a telephone CODEC 24. The slave station 1 applies multiplexes the packet data, the packet call control information and the ADPCM data relating to the voice signal to be a serial signal and sends the result to a master station via a communication satellite.</p> |
