The process consists of taking a flat or curved enamelled ceramic plate or base, covering this with a layer of paint of any colour or quality, followed by an adhesive layer for bonding a flat or curved glass sheet. The assembly is given a heat treatment to bring about cracking or splintering of the glass sheet by contraction, solder cooling or any other process, forming patterns or facets of variable constitution and density, depending on the intensity of treatment.
