<p>An apparatus for the anaerobic purification of wastewater has a reactor through which flow passes upwards, in which reactor piping 2 is disposed for feeding the dirty water and a central scraper 1 is disposed. In order that the apparatus can be constructed simply and readily, the piping 2 for feeding the dirty water is suspended immediately above the central scraper 1, but independently of this, on a support construction 3.
