Each modular element M2, which includes a plastic case (package) 11, comprises, on two opposite sides, an overhanging elastic tab 14, provided with a retention shoulder 15, and two ribs 19 extending parallel to the mounting direction 21 of the element on either side of the tab. The support 1 comprises two opposite walls 6 each having a succession of separate projections 7 which are equidistant in a row perpendicular to the mounting direction, each projection being defined by a retention shoulder 9 perpendicular to the mounting direction and by two guide shoulders 10 parallel to the mounting direction. Application to the support of connection modules and of electrical connectors which may have different widths. <IMAGE>
