<p>PURPOSE:To prevent starting caused by unprepared shift operation by restricting a guide pin by a restricting part so as to prevent shift operation from being performed when a shift lever is placed in a P range and an N range with a brake in a released condition. CONSTITUTION:A shift lever 1 is supported turnably in the longitudinal direction (shift direction) of a vehicle with a supporting axis 2 serving as the center, while vertically moving a guide pin 8 by pressing a shift button, not shown, provided in a knob part in the point end. By engaging this guide pin 8 with an upper edge notched shape in a guide hole 7a of a guide plate 7, a shift position of the shift lever 1 is determined. Here providing a restricting member 3 forming restricting parts 3P, 3N restricting a movement of the guide pin 8 of the shift lever in its shift position of P and N range, this restricting member 3 moves to the front in the shift direction through a cable 4, when a brake pedal performs the step-in action, so as to enable the guide pin 8 to be released from its restriction.</p> |
