摘要 PURPOSE:To avoid the occurrence of hunting motion and improve the stability of control by providing a judging means for commanding change-over to a high octane map when the advance of ignition timing exceeds a change-over reference value and further the maximum delay value of the high octane map. CONSTITUTION:When a regular map is used and an engine is transferred to a predetermined judging region, ignition timing is advanced. Only when the ignition timing exceeds a change-over reference value and the maximum delay value of high octane map, the change-over to the high octane map is commanded by a first judging means (d). A control value for controlling the combustion condition of engine on the basis of a basic control value of map is calculated by a control means (f), and parameters related to the combustion condition of engine are controlled by a combustion controlling means (g) on the basis of the output of said controlling means. Thus, even if the maximum delay value is on the advance side rather than the change-over reference value, the occurrence of hunting motion can be avoided by the alternative change-over of map to improve the stability of control.
