PURPOSE:To attain display with apparently high resolution without an increase in the number of horizontal line cells by sampling analogue video signals with a frequency four or 4/3 times as much as color auxiliary carriers and setting the number of horizontal discharge cells between 745 and 751. CONSTITUTION:Television radio waves inputted from an antenna 301 are selected by a tuner 302, separated into respective video signals of R, G and B by a separation circuit 303, and are A/D converted. The clock frequency of an A/D circuit 305 is set to the auxiliary carriers 4fsc of four times or to 13.5MHz. When a latch circuit 305 is a circuit which holds data signals 201, 203 and 205 with the rise of latch pulses 202, 204 and 206, for example, the phases of the latch pulses are shifted by 120 deg. in R, G and B, and data are selected in the adjusted order of the color arrangement of a panel. With setting the number of the line cells from 745 to 751, or from 703 to 708, the picture quality of high resolution with the optimum number of the line cells can be obtained. |
