The invention relates to a sound-absorbing insulating elastomer system which has a lower plate and an upper plate between which there is an air layer, at least one of the two plates consisting of an elastomer and the whole body being closed in an essentially air-tight manner. The essence of this invention consists in that the sound-absorbing insulating elastomer body is designed as a multiple-chamber system and that, according to variant A, the upper plate has elevations, at least three groups of elevations occurring which are distinguished by a different shape and/or a different spatial requirement, or that, according to variant B, there are slats between the lower plate and the upper plate, the slat fields being arranged in the manner of a chess board.
