PURPOSE:To add information data with many bits to a high-definition television signal and to transmit them by switching the pattern of a horizontal signal according to the logical value of the respective bits of the additive information data, and transmitting the information data at every bit into one horizontal period. CONSTITUTION:The high-definition television(TV) signal inputted to a terminal 1 is the signal before the insertion of the horizontal synchronizing signal. First and second horizontal synchronization generating circuits 2 and 3 respectively generate first and second horizontal synchronizing signals (a) and (b) by a timing pulse TP1 corresponding to the horizontal synchronizing signal inserting period of the high-definition TV signal. Since one of the first and second horizontal synchronizing signal (a) or (b) is successively selected and transmitted according to each bit of the information data to be added, the data of approximately 1k bit per frame can be transmitted. Thus, even for the high-definition TV signal, which uses a vertical blanking period for the transmission of a sound signal, the information data with many bits can be multiplexed and transmitted. |
