PURPOSE:To prolong the service life of a photosensitive body by providing a means discriminating transfer sheets regarding final prints and a means controlling the connection and disconnection of a clutch equipped halfway on a route for transmitting power to the photosensitive body from a driving source. CONSTITUTION:A final print deciding means 27 is regarded as final prints in case of disconnected print that starts without an instruction of continuous printing and when the number of continuously printed copies is specified and is subtracted to reach the final number. When the tailing edge of the transfer sheet S passes through a sensor 25, a clutch connecting and disconnecting determining means 26 consisting of a CPU or a logic circuit determines the disconnection of the clutch and issues instruction to a clutch connection and disconnection performing means 28. Then, it disconnects the clutch 12, and stops the turning of the photosensitive body 1 with a motor M driven; therefore the wear fatigue of the photosensitive body 1 can be reduced. |
