PURPOSE:To actuate plural developing devices by one bias power source, miniaturize a device and to reduce price by providing a connecting and disconnecting mechanism. CONSTITUTION:First of all a developing device fitting part 30 is moved in the direction of the arrow 23 and the developing means 21 of a desired color is set in a developing position. A switching means 24 fitted to the developing device 21 is brought into contact with the switching means 25 which reciprocates in the direction of the arrow 29. Then, a controlling part turns on the bias power source 22 and bias voltage is applied to the developing means 21. After that, when developing comes to an end, the controlling means turns off the power source 22 and the fitting part 30 is moved. A stopper 27 stops the detached switching means 25. Afterward, the same action is repeated and the bias voltage is applied to the plural developing means 21. In addition to that, a shaft which moves vertically and a switching means having an arm which interlocks with the shaft are used. |
