摘要 PURPOSE:To increase the strength in the peripheral to prevent the floating up of a reinforcing ring by press-molding a positive mix with a punch whose central part is slightly recessed to make the thickness of the periphery where a reinforcing ring is fitted thinner than that of the central part so as to have a specified thickness ratio. CONSTITUTION:A positive mix 12 comprising silver oxide, manganese dioxide, and graphite is put in a cavity 10a, and a reinforcing ring 13 is fitted thereon, then the mix 12 is molded with a lower punch 11 and an upper punch 14. By forming the recess 14a in the lower part of the punch 14, a disk-like positive electrode in which the thickness of the periphery where the ring 13 is fitted is thinner 6-10% than that in its central part is obtained. If the thickness difference is less than 6%, no effect is obtained, and if it exceeds 10%, the amount of the mix is decreased and discharge performance is also decreased. The molding density in the periphery is increased to increase strength and the floating up of the reinforcing ring is also prevented.
