The present utility model relates to a powdered seasoning mix with green mussel (Pernaviridis) meat powder and the process of producing the same. The seasoning mix of the present utility model consists of powdered green mussel, salt, ground red pepper, ground black pepper, cinnamon, ground cloves and ginger. The product is a good source of protein which is 50.80 pcnt and 308.37mg/100g of seasoning mix, respectively, and is acceptable to use as flavoring in some foods like pasta sauce, chowder and pinakbet. It is free from Salmonella and Vibrio contamination because process used was regulated and sanitary procedures were observed, and the yeast and mold count (SOCFU/g) and standard plate count (170,000CFU/g) did not exceed to the maximum acceptable amount set by FDA which is 10^4CFU/g and 10^6CFU/g, respectively and the product is safe for human consumption. |
