PURPOSE:A pharmaceutical preparation for rectum administration using a hydrophilic drug having low absorption in digestive tubes in combination with cyclodextrin, having improved biological utilization ratio of the drug, capable of being administered by dosage form besides injection. CONSTITUTION:A hydrophilic drug having low absorption in digestive tubes, having preferably <= about 70%, more preferably <=50%, especially <= about 20% biological utilization ratio in human, having <= about 10, preferably <= about 1, more preferably <=0.1 oil water partition coefficient of n-octanol and water, is blended with preferably 1-50wt%, more preferably about 2-20wt%, especially about 2-10wt% calculated as concentration in a pharmaceutical preparation of cyclodextrin, to give a pharmaceutical preparation for rectum administration having merits wherein the rectum administration of the drug is extremely improved, medicinal effect is shown efficiently and prolongably with its small dose, it is usable simply with slight pain in administration, it is administered easily by patients themselves, and safety is extremely high.
