The monitor contains an electronic control circuit activated by a main relay, a pressure controlled switch and two contact arrangements (17, 18) activated by a float (7) carrying a magnet (13, 14). The contact arrangements can partially deactivate or switch off the electronic control circuit depending on the liquid level in the expansion tank. The magnet or magnets on the float lies or lie outside the activation region of both contact arrangements in the rest position. The functionality of the contact arrangements can be tested by an electrical system. The contact arrangements can be in the form of two reed relays. USE/ADVANTAGE - Enables operational reliability of slip-regulated braking system to be increased using inexpensive components.
