<p>PURPOSE: To hold a door open at an optional angle by providing a bullet chamber housing a bullet-like member pressed to a channel by a solenoid-operated rod to stop an oil flow. CONSTITUTION: A manifold having a plunger chamber 48, a bullet chamber 46, a latch and sweeping valve chambers 114, 116 is fitted to the end section of the piston 12 of a door closer. The chamber 46 is provided with a bullet-like member 82 closing an orifice 68 communicated with a channel 70 by a stem 80a operated by a solenoid 78, and the chamber 48 is provided with a plunger 90 integral with a stem 92 extending to a chamber 30. When a door is opened, the solenoid 78 pushes the bullet-like member 82 to the right and holds it via a stem 80a to close the end section of the orifice 68, and the opening angle of the door can be maintained.</p> |
