In an arrangement for testing interturn faults and the insulation of inductor coils by means of resistance comparisons between a test piece, which is to be connected to the secondary winding of a first transformer connected to a supply voltage, and a standard, which is to be connected in the same way to this secondary winding, the primary winding of the first transformer is optionally connected via an inverter, known per se, to a battery or via a rectifier and a second transformer to a mains supply source. For testing interturn fault test pieces of different resistance values, the secondary winding of the first transformer is provided with several tappings with switch contacts, and for testing insulation test pieces with different resistance values of the secondary winding of the first transformer, a Greinacher circuit, known per se and connected to it, is connected downstream via switch contacts to a plurality of insulation test leads. A voltage meter is provided between two specific tappings. The primary winding of the second transformer is connected to the mains supply voltage separately from the measuring bridge.
