PURPOSE:To obtain a lipase inhibitor having strong and effective activity to inhibit lipase, absolutely free from stimulation to the skin and hormone-like side effect and having high safety, by using crude drugs of specific herbs or solvent extract of said herbs as active components. CONSTITUTION:The objective inhibitor contains, as active components, crude drugs selected from SHAKUYAKU (root of Paeonia albiflora), OOREN (rhizome of Captis japonica), OOBAKU (bark of Phellodendron amurense), BOTANPI (root of Paeonia moutan), GENNOSHOKO (leaf of Geranium thunbergii), tea leaves, KUJIN (root of Sophora angustifolia), SIBOTANTSURU, arch angle, salvia, SEIYO NEZU, hamamelis and birch or solvent extract of above herbs (extract liquid of crude drug, its diluted solution, concentrated extract or its dried powder). The composition is effective in preventing diseases caused by lipase, e.g. obesity and dermatitis. |
