The invention relates to an operating device for a surgical lamp, in which the surgical lamp can be adjusted in the three dimensions by means of corresponding motors. The motors can either be operated manually by means of a single switch; it is also possible to derive adjusting values for the three-dimensional adjusting of the motor(s) from the different temperatures of the surgical wound, the outside temperature of the body and the ambient temperature of the operating room (theatre). <IMAGE>
