PURPOSE:To attain an automatic selecting incoming call to plural kinds of terminals without remolding an existing telephone exchange network, by performing a non-charging response to an incoming call and performing the response at the incoming side and the charging response after transmission/receiving of a terminal kind discriminating signal. CONSTITUTION:When an incoming call comes from a subscriber line 5, it is detected at an incoming call detector 8, a relay A is operated and the subscriber line 5 is connected to a receiver 13 for kind discriminating signal via a non- charging response device 15 and a half way a giveup detector 14. If an opposite party making a call is a telephone set, since no kind discriminating signal is transmitted, the receiver 32 is not operated and a relay C is operated, then a telephone set 1 is called with a bell signal from a start signal generator 21 for attaining communication. When the calling party is other than the telephone set 1, e.g., facsimile, a relay D is operated with a signal from the receiver 13. Thus, a start signal is generated from the generator 21 and the facsimile communication is attained with the response of the facsimile 2. |
